The Florida Association of Public Health Nurses (FAPHN) evolved
from the 60th annual PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING LEADERSHIP, C.A.S.E.1,
INC. conference that was held on July 22-23, 2002. The reorganization
of C.A.S.E., Inc. was approved at this time. FAPHN was incorporated
December 12, 2002 as a Florida corporation. September 15, 2006,
FAPHN was approved by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a public
charity [501(c) (3)]. FAPHN is qualified to receive tax deductible
bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106,
or 2522 of the I.R.S. Code.
December 2011, FAPHN began its 10th year. FAPHN successfully held
the Annual Educational Education Training Conference and Business
Meeting September 22, 2011, in Altmamonte Springs, Florida. Special
thanks to all who participated. The 2012 Annual Educational Training
Conference and Annual Membership Business Meeting is scheduled September
13, in Altamonte Springs Hilton.
The names and contact numbers of new Board of Directors for 2011-2012
are located on the Board page in this WEB site. FAPHN reaches out
to the tragedy in Haiti! FAPHN donated, in your name, to the Clinton
Bush Haiti Fund and to the Salvation Army Haiti Earthquake Fund
in 2009-2010.
