The Florida Association of Public Health Nurses (FAPHN) evolved
from the 60th annual PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING LEADERSHIP, C.A.S.E.1,
INC. conference that was held on July 22-23, 2002. The reorganization
of C.A.S.E., Inc. was approved at this time. FAPHN was incorporated
December 12, 2002 as a Florida corporation. September 15, 2006,
FAPHN was approved by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a public
charity [501(c) (3)]. FAPHN is qualified to receive tax deductible
bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106,
or 2522 of the I.R.S. Code.
December 2009, FAPHN began its 8th year. FAPHN will have the Annual
Business Meeting and Educational Training Programs on Saturday,
August 7, 2010. The location for the FAPHN conference is the Marie
Selby Botanical Gardens, Sarasota, Florida. FAPHN needs
to hear from you! What topics would interest you? Will you attend
the conference? Please let the Board know. Board Members names and

FAPHN reaches out to the tragedy in Haiti! FAPHN donated, in your
name, to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund and to the Salvation Army Haiti
Earthquake Fund.
